GIZ funded project comprises a number of inter-related and mutually supporting interventions that aim at improving living conditions of the urban poor residing in Ezbet Allam-El KKhoussous City, especially for youth and women. The action embodies interventions to improve solid waste management (SWM) service inside the target area by augmenting capacity of the service contractor with an additional equipment that will increase collection and disposal efficiency and frequency.
CEDARE is one of the main partners in the Regional Knowledge Network on Systemic Approaches to Water Resources Management (R-KNOW), lead by IUCN. R-Know is a regional project funded by the European Union (2013-2016). The project is being implemented in five countries (Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, Morocco and Egypt). R-KNOW aims to influence policy and decision-making processes as a means to enhance good governance and policy coherence for sustainable development.
“Social, Ecological and Agricultural Resilience in the Face of Climate Change” (SEARCH) is a three years regional project funded by the EU and implemented in five countries (Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, and Morocco). SEARCH aims to develop and pilot a resilience framework for adaptation to climate change in watershed ecosystems. Implementation will be piloted in demonstration sites to enable joint learning with stakeholders, through local action planning and testing of interventions designed to increase climate change resilience.
