The training of trainers sessions, led by MedWaves, the UNEP/MAP Activity Centre for SCP experts in coordination with partner in Egypt CEDARE, was recently organized in Egypt. It focused on transferring the Green Business methodology (Green Business Model, Green Business Plan) and the various tools to support green entrepreneurs. On 9 June, 2022 & in the framework of the “SwitchMed Down the Nile Project to support Sustainable Economy and Green and Blue Entrepreneurship in Egypt”, the Centre for Environment and Development for the Arab Region and Europe (CEDARE) in partnership with the Egyptian Ministry of Environment (MOE) organized the first Consultation Session at the MOE premises in Cairo. The Project is part of SwitchMed and comes in-line with Egypt’s current substantial efforts in reinforcing medium, small, and micro enterprises.
In continuation of CEDARE’s activities in the Sustainable Transport in Egypt (STE) experience-exchange track, an international seminar was held on the 19th-20th of November, 2019. As part of the activities of the 14th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention in Sharm ElSheikh, CEDARE in partnership with the Ministry of Environment co-organized an awareness session on “Plastic Bags Pollution of the Environment”. , in cooperation with FES Egypt and the Ministry of Egypt hosted Sustainable Transport Egypt 2018 Conference on Electric Mobility and the Advent of Electric Vehicles that took place in Cairo on 24th & 25th of October 2018.
In aims of maximizing benefit of the discussions: the presented draft policy brief has been uploaded, for comments and consultations until the 15th of November 2018.
