Global Fuel Economy Initiative (GFEI) Global Networking Event 20-21 June 2013, Paris – France

The Global Fuel Economy Initiative (GFEI) assists governments and transport stakeholders to develop fuel economic policies, byGFEI disseminating best practices. Using the skills and expertise of the GFEI partners – The International Energy Agency (IEA), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), International Transport Forum of the OECD (ITF), International Council for Clean Transportation (ICCT), Institute of Transportation Studies (ITS) and the FIA Foundation – the GFEI Toolkit team are able to help to establish a baseline in each country; present policy options and case studies; and enable all stakeholders to engage in the policy development process.

CEDARE’s participation in the GFEI is mainly directed at encouraging countries in the Middle East and the Arab region to adopt fuel economy measures.
