CEDARE develops a meeting point between Water and Climate change

On the 28th of January, 2010, CEDARE participated in an international Dialogue on Climate Change and Water management that was organized by the EuroArab Foundation and the Arab Water Academy in Granada, Spain.  CEDARE was represented by Eng. Mohamed Elrawady, water resources researcher, who gave a presentation on developing a meeting point between climate change and water resources management.  The presentation focused on possible storm water management alternatives as a climate change adaptation measure. CEDARE’s presentation also highlighted the importance of non-renewable groundwater as a strategic reserve.  The event brought together many experts from different organizations and Institutions in the Arab world and Europe such as UNESCO and IDRC. CEDARE’s presentation was very well received by the audience and the media.
