In the frame of Monitoring and Evaluation of the Water Sector in the North Africa Project (MEWINA), that was implemented by the Centre for Environment and Development for the Arab Region and Europe (CEDARE).  CEDARE concluded the Regional Consultative Workshop on the background reports for the State of Water Report in North Africa 2012 from the 2^nd to 4^th of July 2014 at intercontinental CityStars, Cairo. The workshop aimed to review and discuss the National Reports for the State of Water 2012 in the North African countries, and the State of Water Reports of Shared Water Basins and Aquifers in addition to the Regional Report of State of Water in North Africa. The workshop was attended by many foreign experts ' evaluation and monitoring of water resources from Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Mauritania and Tunisia.
