With the aim of validating the technical Rapid Assessment Reports at the national as well as transboundary, basins & aquifers, levels, MEWINA’s Regional Project Management Unit (RPMU) is organizing the Regional Validation Workshop in Cairo from October 27^th to 29^th, 2013.  Also, presenting and discussing the water sector M&E regional reports that have been prepared by the consultant throughout the Rapid Assessment component will be another objective.

Back-to-back with the Workshop, the Project’s 3rd Steering Committee meeting will be held. The 2-days meeting is meant for assessing the technical and operational performance of the Project at all levels by the distinguished SC members representing the Arab Water Council (AWC), the African Ministers’ Council on Water (AMCOW), the African Union Commission (AUC), the World Water Assessment Programme (WWAP), the Food and Agriculture organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) members of Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Mauritania & Tunisia, and finally CEDARE.
